Why Refill
Single-use plastic is everywhere, and once it’s created, it rarely disappears. Globally, hundreds of millions of tons of plastic are produced each year, and only a small percentage is ever recycled. The rest ends up in landfills, waterways, or our environment.
Most plastic packaging is used for just minutes, yet it can take hundreds of years to break down. Refilling helps interrupt that cycle by extending the life of containers that already exist, reducing demand for new plastic with each refill.
Even small shifts matter. Reusing a single bottle over and over can prevent dozens (sometimes hundreds) of disposable containers from being thrown away over its lifetime. When practiced consistently, these small choices add up to meaningful impact.
At The Refill House, refilling isn’t about being perfect. It’s about choosing progress and making practical, repeatable changes that fit into real life and help reduce waste in a way that feels doable.
